SNACKS TO AVOID
  • Kool-Aid© - This has lots of sugar.
  • Fruit Drinks - These also are high in sugar. Check the label to see if it pure fruit juice or really just flavored sugar water.
  • Soft Drinks - These have acid and sugar which are both bad for enamel.
  • Chewy Candy - Now & Later, Gummies, Taffy, etc. These stick to chewing surfaces and let the sugar hang on until you scrub it off.
  • Hard Candy - A time released sugar bomb...
  • Gum with sugar - (See hard candy entry)
  • Misc. Junk - Potato chips, etc. These can cause cavities as easily as candy in most cases.
